The Insites Console is the 'command centre' of your Insites Account. You can use the Console to create, delete, and manage your Instances. You may also invite people to collaborate with you on your account and set up their account permissions.
An Insites Instance is a virtual server that stores your data and runs your application code. When a user visits your application, the pages and data they see and interact with are hosted on an instance.
When you sign up for Insites, you automatically get a free Staging Instance and free Console account. You can upgrade to a paid Instance plan to publish, host, and add a custom domain. You only need to upgrade to a paid Console account if you need more than one seat, two staging instances, or advanced features like instance duplication and user permissions.
There is no limit to the number of production instances you can have in your account. Staging instances are free and the number allocated is applicable to your Console Account plan.

A Console User has the additional benefit of creating and managing instances, billing and installing templates. Console Users also have access to the Insites CLI tool to deploy a codebase to the instance, along with managing DNS settings.
Yes, you can add your team members to your Console account within your Console plan limits.
Each Instance hosting plan utilizes "overages" for each metered resource. At the end of each month, you'll be billed for your selected hosting plan + any overages above the included limits. This ensures that the limits/quotas does NOT affect the performance or availability of your application.
Insites is a fully managed Backend as a Service (BaaS) and provides hosting as a core offering, therefore you cannot host externally. Insites does not use any proprietary languages (unlike some platforms, looking at you Salesforce), therefore you can export and host your application anywhere you like, however certain functionality and forms will stop working.
Users and Administrators are stored as database records, therefore you can add as many as your instance hosting plans allows.
Insites scales automatically to handle millions of database items and views. We use a blend of world leading infrastructure hosting from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Oracle.
Staging and Production are two crucial environments in application development.
Staging serves as a pre-production phase where developers test the application before it goes live, ensuring functionality and performance. It closely resembles the production environment but is isolated and used for rigorous testing.
On the other hand, the production environment is the live environment accessible to end users.
Insites is frontend framework agnostic. You can use your favorite front end technology of choice. Whether that be React, Vue, Angular, Swift, Android, etc.
Yes, you can adjust the instance hosting plan for each instance individually at any point in time.
External API calls are requests made to external systems through your application. For example, you are requesting data from a third party CRM, database or ERP is counted towards your plan limits.
Try Insites for as long as you like with our free starter plan and free staging instances. Purchase a production instance when you are ready to go live.
